I am, and have been fascinated by folk magic cultures around the world. There's the bruheria, stregheria, hoo doo, rootwork, etc., and I was wondering, is there an Irish equivalent? Is there a name for it?
I've tried to research it, but mostly all I come up with are links to ancient celtic mythology. Don't get me wrong, that's fascinating too, but not what I'm looking for at the moment.

Any suggestions or information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

You might want to try looking into the folk magic of the Appalacian Mountains. Many Irish traditions survive in their culture.
