Hello everyone,

My name is Joe and I have been involved with witchcraft for quite a while now. I do not practice wicca mind you, I follow a traditional path. I live in New Jersey and my heritage is consists mostly of Irish, German, and Dutch. For as long as I could remember, I have struggled with finding the right religion. I was raised somewhat Catholic and I still find it hard to leave my Christian beliefs behind. I feel very connected, however, to Celtic polytheism. Being an Irish-American, I am very interested in the ancient traditions and ways of the Gaels. I don't know too much of the Gaelic language but I do know a few words and phrases. I am coming to this site it hopes of learning more about the Celtic traditions to see if I can truly leave my Christian ways behind me and embark on a Celtic pagan path. Religion aside, I still use the craft and will never change that. I belong to a few other witchcraft forums. I hope to get to know some of you and please do not get annoyed with me as I tend to ask a lot of questions Cool

Sláinte
Joe

I am about the same as you. But I'm sure you know much more than I do. I started a few years ago looking into witchcraft, but not too far. My family are Christians and I didn't want to upset them. And I have just recently been looking into my Irish heritage and thought this would be a good place to start. But I feel like such a newbie. My name is Jenna by the way and I'm from Michigan. I just wish there were something more to this site. Like, could anyone explain to me what Irish traditional witchcraft is about? Please. I'd really like to learn more about it.
